Appointments

How to See Your Doctor or Nurse

The surgery operates an appointment system to minimise waiting time and improve convenience for patients. Patients with urgent medical problems will always be seen that day, although if there are no routine appointments available they may be asked to attend at the end of a surgery. If you cannot attend for an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment to someone else.

Telephone Consultation Appointments

Do you need to see the Doctor or just talk to them?

If you think that your problem can be dealt with over the telephone without face to face contact then please ask for a Telephone Consultation Appointment. You will be given an approximate time when the Doctor will call you back, please ensure you give us an up to date telephone phone number and if this is a mobile number could you ensure that your phone is switched on and not on silent.

All GP appointments are for 10 minutes duration. Please tell the receptionist if you need to see the doctor urgently, we operate a daily Duty Doctor Service to deal with emergencies.

If you would like the presence of a chaperone during any of your appointments, please advise the receptionist when you arrive for your appointment, or inform the doctor or nurse.
